Analysis and Suggestions
One thing I notice is that I manage to swing through my b-twists pretty dang easy, even unintentionally. This looks all nice and pretty, but the better the swing through, the less my legs wrap, which makes advanced variations harder.
A big difference between my b-twist and many b-twists is my distinct arch, which I think may be causing my lifting (non-landing) leg to straighten, but I'm not sure if that's a problem, though I'll try to fix this more.
One thing I do notice through experimenting myself and watching others is that the legs unwrap more the sooner you spin, and I always spin slightly early, even when I don't try. These are lower and faster, hence why the best b-twist swing throughs you see are done quick and fast with not much leg wrapping. When done without much upwards jump they harness the all the power of the twist and channel it into the swing through.
Annnnnd, the faster you twist the less time your jumping leg has to catch up with your lifting leg, which is why fast swing through b-twists are generally done with the jumping/landing leg straight or almost straight, traveling around the body in a massive circle from ground to ground.
This means for later variations to be easier, I need to delay my twist more. I've gotten used to working standard b-twists so much that I wrap soon for the swing through. Most people open their arms and wrap into the twist, which is something I don't do much. This is probably why I twist sooner than most people without thinking about it. So, I need to concentrate on twisting after the jump, which will take a little fighting with muscle memory. But it's certainly doable, and should help my advanced b-twist variations.
Conclusion: Sooner twist = better swing through, Delayed twist = better wrapping of legs, meaning easier to manipulate later variations.
